We want to help people live as respected members of society into older age by enabling them to live as independently as possible, respecting their life choices.

Support Workers

Our support (Kehilliah) workers are the face of Jewish Care, visiting and caring for our clients to promote their

well-being and to offer support where needed

They are compassionate, culturally respectful, personable and trustworthy

They prepare and organise monthly lunches and cultural activities to foster connections to the community and create social engagement for our seniors

They visit the sick and can assist those in need of help, such as with shopping and transportation to medical appointments

The support can also help with the transition from independent living to a rest homes

Please note that they cannot give medical advice

Our elders provide us with fascinating insights into their life stories, give us lessons on coping with adversity, and present us with healthcare challenges every day. It’s such a rewarding job - we work every day with the aim of making as much of a difference in our clients' lives as they do in ours” Wellington Kehilliah worker.
